๐Ÿ‘ Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

The short version: Wooly Acres is an iOS app. This website is just an informational page about it โ€” it doesn't run the game itself. The app has no server, no account system, and no analytics or advertising trackers. Your flock is saved only on your own device. We never receive, see, or store a copy of it.

What information we collect

None, directly from you. Wooly Acres doesn't have sign-ups, forms, or an account system, and the app itself contains no analytics scripts or advertising pixels. There's no database on our end containing your game progress, your name, your email, or any other personal information โ€” because nothing you do in the app is ever transmitted to us in the first place.

What's stored, and where

The app saves your flock's progress (sheep, world layout, in-game date, and similar game state) directly on your device. This data:

You're always in control of this data:

Fonts and other assets

All fonts, images, audio, and code used by Wooly Acres โ€” both the app and this website โ€” are hosted directly by us. We deliberately avoid pulling assets from third-party services like Google Fonts, because doing so would send a visitor's or player's IP address to that third party just to load them. The background music in the app is a shuffled playlist of several tracks, all by the same artist, licensed for this use and credited (with links to each track) on the Support page and in the app's About panel. Like everything else in the app, it's a set of static audio files bundled with the app โ€” there's no streaming and no tracking of any kind attached to them.

Hosting-level information (this website only)

Like essentially any website, the underlying web host serving these pages may automatically log basic technical information as part of normal server operation โ€” for example, IP addresses and request timestamps in server access logs. This is standard infrastructure-level logging performed by the hosting provider, not something Wooly Acres itself collects, requests, or has access to, and it has nothing to do with the app, which makes no network requests of any kind. For details on how the hosting provider handles this, see their own privacy documentation.

Cookies

Wooly Acres (the app) does not use cookies, and doesn't track you across other apps or websites. This website also doesn't set any tracking cookies.

Children's privacy

Wooly Acres doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it doesn't collect personal information from anyone at all. The app is safe for a general audience for this reason.

Your rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws)

Regardless of where you're located, privacy laws like the EU/UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA generally give you rights such as access to your data, correction, deletion, and portability, and (for CCPA) the right to know what's collected and to opt out of its sale. Because Wooly Acres doesn't collect or hold any personal data on any server:

If you have questions about this, you can reach out using the contact information below.

Changes to this policy

If how Wooly Acres handles data ever changes โ€” for example, if a future version adds an optional account system, analytics, or any server-side feature โ€” this page will be updated to reflect that before such a feature goes live, and the "last updated" date above will change.

This page is a plain-language description of how Wooly Acres works, written to be genuinely accurate about its data practices. The app is still in development ahead of its App Store release; the practices described here (no server, no accounts, on-device-only storage) are the actual design commitments for that release, and this page will be revisited before launch to confirm nothing has changed. It is not legal advice, and it hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer. Legal requirements vary by jurisdiction and by the specifics of how a site is operated and hosted โ€” if you're the site owner, have this reviewed by a qualified attorney before relying on it for compliance purposes.
